Director of Admissions and Marketing
Job Description
The Marketing & Admissions Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining referral relationships, increasing facility census, coordinating admissions, facilitating hospital and community outreach, and promoting Kirkland Court Nursing & Rehab as the preferred provider of post-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, respite, hospice, and skilled nursing services.
This position serves as the primary liaison between referral sources, residents, families, hospitals, physicians, hospices, and the facility leadership team.

Essential Job FunctionsAdmissions ResponsibilitiesCoordinate all resident admissions from hospitals, assisted living facilities, physician offices, hospices, and community referrals.
Review referral information for appropriateness of admission.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social services, and administration to evaluate admissions.
Verify insurance coverage and payer sources when applicable.
Ensure admission packets and required documentation are completed.
Coordinate transportation and admission logistics.
Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families.
Serve as primary contact for residents and families throughout the admission process.

Develop and maintain referral relationships with:
Hospitals
Case managers
Discharge planners
Physicians
Hospices
Home health agencies
Assisted living facilities
Community organizations
Conduct routine facility visits to referral sources.
Promote Kirkland Court's services, specialty programs, and clinical capabilities.
Represent the facility at community events, health fairs, and professional networking opportunities.
Develop and implement census growth initiatives.
Monitor local market trends and competitor activity.
Maintain a positive public image of the facility within the community.
Maintain and track daily referral activity.
Follow up on pending referrals.
Maintain referral source database.
Assist in achieving and maintaining census goals established by administration.
Participate in strategic planning related to facility growth.
Develop relationships with hospice providers.

General Inpatient Hospice (GIP)
Respite Care
Skilled Nursing Services
Rehabilitation Services
Long-Term Care
Assist with implementation of specialty programs designed to enhance referral opportunities.
Respond promptly to inquiries from families and referral sources.
Address concerns and facilitate communication among departments.
Ensure a positive admission experience for residents and families.
Participate in resident and family satisfaction initiatives.
Maintain referral and admission logs.
Prepare weekly and monthly marketing reports.
Track admission conversion rates.
Report census trends and referral activities to the Administrator.
Participate in management and QAPI meetings as requested.
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care, Hospital, Hospice, Home Health, Rehabilitation, or Healthcare Marketing.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and insurance processes.
Experience with PointClickCare or other healthcare software systems.
Admissions or healthcare sales experience.
Frequent travel within the service area.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
