Job Summary:
The Goddard School in Midlothian is looking for a flexible, dependable, and energetic Floater Teacher to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children of various ages and is looking for part-time, consistent afternoon hours. Floater Teachers support our classrooms by giving scheduled teachers breaks, covering end-of-day shifts, and assisting with closing routines.

Whether you're a high school senior, college student, or someone with a love for working with kids, we’d love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Step into classrooms as needed to provide support to lead and assistant teachers
  
  
• Help supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities across various classrooms (infants through Pre-K)
  
  
• Ensure classroom safety, cleanliness, and organization during transitions and closings
  
  
• Build positive, nurturing relationships with children, staff, and families
  
  
• Follow school policies and licensing regulations
  
  

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years old
  
  
• Experience with or interest in working with young children preferred
  
  
• Willingness to be flexible and float to various age groups throughout the day
  
  
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills
  
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
