Title: Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech

Location: Brick Township, NJ
Duration: 13 Weeks (High Possibility of Extension)
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technician to support cardiac catheterization and invasive cardiovascular procedures in an acute-care hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and hands-on experience assisting with procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support during cardiac catheterization and invasive cardiovascular procedures.
  • Perform scrub and table-side responsibilities during procedures.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and instruments.
  • Assist physicians and the clinical team during cardiovascular procedures.
  • Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Support efficient workflow within the Cath Lab.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established departmental procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area within an acute-care hospital.
  • Alternatively, qualifying experience may include:
    • 6–12 months of clinical experience during an accredited CVT program, or
    • 2 years of experience in another cardiac/vascular laboratory.
  • Hands-on scrub and table-side experience is required.
Required Education
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist program, Radiologic Technologist program, or applicable Applied Science program.
Required Certifications & Licensure
  • BLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ACLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Must obtain one of the following within the required timeframe:
    • RCIS certification through CCI, or
    • Radiologic Technologist License
Required Skills
  • Cardiac catheterization laboratory experience.
  • Invasive cardiovascular procedure experience.
  • Scrub and table-side assistance.
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute-care environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
