POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Control Technician is responsible to utilize techniques and activities to fulfill requirements for quality.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Follow processes and procedures in conjunction with production staff to ensure quality of materials and cards products.
  • Completing quality controls and documentation.
  • Performing tests and checks, often in a laboratory environment.
  • Properly maintain job audit logs as trained.
  • Write clearly and be concise.
  • Following the program of internal auditing for quality.
  • Following the program of continual improvement to product or services.
  • Pinpointing defects in materials and card products.
  • Comply with safety rules and procedures established by the company.
  • Comply with PCI security standards and obey explicit rules of the High Security Areas (HSA).
  • Perform any other task assigned by their immediate supervisor.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors and peers.
  • Follow, perform and deliver written and oral instructions from supervisors and peers.
  • Must be well organized and manage time effectively.
  • Must have the ability to assimilate and analyze information.
  • Write clearly and in a concise manner on all forms and documents.
  • Use and handling of materials and card manufacturing equipment.
  • All prospective employees must submit to and pass a criminal background check, drug screening and credit check.


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or higher education preferred.
  • No previous experience necessary, however previous product inspection experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:


  • The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, lift and move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
