What You'll Do
- Establish daily routines and schedules to ensure a smooth and engaging learning environment
- Plan and implement engaging activities and lessons to promote socialization, cognitive development, and emotional growth
- Support children in developing essential life skills, such as communication, self-care, and cooperation
- Monitor children's behavior and development, identifying areas of concern and reporting to parents and staff
- Model positive behaviors and promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children
- Prepare students for transitions to kindergarten or other forms of care, ensuring a smooth and successful transition
- Provide individualized attention and support to children as needed, working one-on-one or in small groups
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each child's care and progress, including attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to support each child's unique needs and goals

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- CPR/First Aid Certified (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks
- Knowledge of childhood development and preschool practices
- Friendly, calm demeanor with strong communication and mediation skills
- Physically able to lift/carry children, sit on the floor, and maintain classroom energy
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education a plus)
- Organized, dependable, and flexible
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working in a licensed childcare setting, such as a preschool or daycare center
- Knowledge of early education standards and classroom safety procedures, a plus
