What You'll Do

  • Establish daily routines and schedules to ensure a smooth and engaging learning environment

  • Plan and implement engaging activities and lessons to promote socialization, cognitive development, and emotional growth

  • Support children in developing essential life skills, such as communication, self-care, and cooperation

  • Monitor children's behavior and development, identifying areas of concern and reporting to parents and staff

  • Model positive behaviors and promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children

  • Prepare students for transitions to kindergarten or other forms of care, ensuring a smooth and successful transition

  • Provide individualized attention and support to children as needed, working one-on-one or in small groups

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each child's care and progress, including attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones

  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to support each child's unique needs and goals


Requirements

Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Valid driver's license

  • CPR/First Aid Certified (or willingness to obtain)

  • Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks

  • Knowledge of childhood development and preschool practices

  • Friendly, calm demeanor with strong communication and mediation skills

  • Physically able to lift/carry children, sit on the floor, and maintain classroom energy

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional education a plus)

  • Organized, dependable, and flexible


Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a licensed childcare setting, such as a preschool or daycare center
  • Knowledge of early education standards and classroom safety procedures, a plus
