Distribution Coordinator/Shipping Clerk
Shift: 7:30am-4pm
Pay: $14.20/hr
Position Summary
The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for supporting shipping and logistics operations while ensuring accurate inventory management, documentation, and transactions. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of shipping experience in a manufacturing environment and strong technical knowledge of Oracle or a similar shipping/inventory management system.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records, lot integrity, Certificates of Conformance, and Country of Origin documentation and tracking.
- Ensure all distribution procedures are followed and report discrepancies as needed.
- Ensure products are received in a timely manner and all transactions are accurately entered into Oracle.
- Execute standardized work practices for Parts & Kits, ensuring inventory is safely stored in the proper locations, accurately counted, and properly labeled.
- Process all required paperwork and system transactions to maintain accurate inventory data.
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and handcarts to move materials, including unloading received materials.
- Execute assignments provided by the Shipping Supervisor and through the Parts & Kits GEMBA Board.
- Recommend and implement improvements related to efficiency, cost savings, quality, and workplace safety.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible work environment.
- Foster teamwork and maintain a positive, professional attitude while treating all employees fairly and respectfully.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track quality metrics and trends, and prepare reports for supervisor review.
- Participate in investigations related to customer complaints and product quality, implementing corrective measures to help prevent future occurrences.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including overtime when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of shipping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Oracle or a similar shipping, inventory, or ERP system.
- Experience maintaining inventory accuracy and processing shipping/receiving documentation.
- Ability to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow standardized work procedures and safety requirements.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.
