A growing manufacturer of data center power equipment is in search of a seasoned Accounting Manager (responsibilities below). This is an opportunity to grow as this relatively new company grows. Sales for their product have far exceeded expectation and they are in need of an Accounting Manager to manage invoicing, payroll, invoice processing, billing, collections, complete journal entries, balance the books, etc. This will be a hybrid role with work from home opportunities built in. Salary expected to be 85k-115k plus benefits and bonus. This manufacturing company is relatively new but they are a branch of an existing company with over 10 years in the data center industry with a strong reputation for employee retention and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable

  • Manage the full AR cycle, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and aging review.
  • Manage the full AP cycle, including vendor invoice processing, coding, approvals, and timely payment runs.
  • Maintain accurate vendor and customer records; resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
  • Monitor AR/AP aging and escalate collection or cash flow concerns as needed.

    Inventory Accounting

  • Maintain accurate inventory records in coordination with production and warehouse staff.
  • Reconcile physical inventory counts to the general ledger and investigate variances.
  • Track standard costs, work-in-process, and finished goods valuation.
  • Partner with operations to improve inventory controls and reporting accuracy.

    Payroll

  • Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP, accurately and on schedule, including hourly, salaried, and overtime pay.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and files.
  • Administer payroll-related deductions, garnishments, and benefits contributions.
  • Track and administer incentive compensation, including bonuses and commissions, ensuring accurate calculation and timely payment.

    Monthly Close & Financial Reporting

  • Own the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for review by leadership.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations and maintain a clean, audit-ready general ledger.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to shorten the close cycle and strengthen internal controls.

    Other Duties

  • Support audit or tax preparation requests as needed.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by leadership.
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
