In-Home Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant

Multiple Openings: Memphis/Shelby County and Henderson/Chester County

Job Type: Part-time / PRN / Weekend availability available
Location: Memphis, TN and Henderson, TN areas
Pay: $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on experience and assignment
Higher pay may be available for weekends, short shifts, higher-care clients, transfer assistance, Hoyer lift experience, or urgent coverage.

About the Position

Guiding Angels at Home Care is hiring dependable, compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical in-home care for clients who need assistance with daily living activities. We have multiple openings in the Memphis/Shelby County area and the Henderson/Chester County area.

Caregivers will assist clients with personal care, safety support, light housekeeping, meal preparation, mobility assistance, and other daily care needs. This is a great opportunity for someone who is patient, reliable, respectful, and enjoys helping clients remain safe and comfortable in their homes.

Available Schedules

Memphis / Shelby County Openings

Morning shifts available.

Possible schedules include:

Monday–Friday morning shift
Start time around 7:30 AM
Approximately 2.5 hours per visit

Sunday–Saturday morning shift
8:00 AM–10:00 AM
Approximately 2 hours per visit

Henderson / Chester County Opening

Sunday–Saturday morning shift
8:00 AM–10:00 AM
Approximately 2 hours per visit

PRN respite shifts available when scheduled by the office.

Caregiver Job Duties

Caregiver duties may include:

Assisting with bathing, grooming, hygiene, and dressing
Helping with toileting and incontinence care
Assisting with safe transfers and mobility
Helping clients use wheelchairs or other mobility equipment as trained
Preparing or heating meals and setting up food/drinks
Providing medication reminders according to agency policy
Completing light housekeeping tasks
Washing dishes, laundry, folding clothes, making beds, and removing trash
Keeping walkways and care areas clean and safe
Assisting with errands or shopping only when assigned by the office
Monitoring for changes in condition and reporting concerns
Documenting completed care tasks accurately
Maintaining client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times

Care Needs May Include

Some clients may require hands-on personal care, transfer assistance, wheelchair support, incontinence care, or help remaining clean, dry, and comfortable. Some clients may have limited mobility, weakness, chronic health conditions, confusion, or difficulty completing personal care independently.

Caregivers must be patient, professional, and comfortable providing respectful personal care in the client’s home.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

Reliable transportation
Valid driver’s license or dependable way to get to shifts
Working phone
Ability to arrive on time and follow assigned schedule
Ability to follow a care plan and agency policies
Ability to document care tasks accurately
Ability to communicate professionally with clients, families, and office staff
Experience with personal care, transfers, incontinence care, or home care preferred
