Duties and Responsibilities:
%CF; Provide swim instruction.
%CF; Build effective, authentic relationships with students and parents.
%CF; Enforce safety rules and regulations.
%CF; Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
%CF; Interact with parents/guardians on the activities and development of
students’ swim skills.
%CF; Use problem solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve
challenges that students encounter.
%CF; Inspect pool areas before and after each class for possible maintenance, cleanliness or damage issues. Reports issues to management as appropriate.
%CF; Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment. Places and
removes lane lines.
%CF; Perform light cleaning duties such as window washing, pool
vacuuming, etc…
%CF; Attend mandatory meetings/training outside of regular working hours.
%CF; Weekday and weekend availability.
Qualifications:
%CF; Excellent communication and organizational skills
%CF; Enthusiastic Personality
%CF; 16 years or older
%CF; No prior teaching experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and have fun is a must!
Certificates and Licenses: American Red Cross- Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
Work Environment: Swim instructors spend the majority of their working time in the pool with students.
