About This Role

We are seeking dedicated and passionate early childhood professionals to join our Head Start team in Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

What You'll Do

  1. Create a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children to thrive.
  2. Foster strong relationships with children and families by providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  3. Work closely with families as the primary educators of their child, encouraging their involvement in the curriculum and supporting the development of relationships between children and families.
  4. Plan and implement engaging daily learning experiences that cater to the intellectual and physical development of children.
  5. Assure the completion of teaching responsibilities, including:

Conduct developmental and behavioral screenings on each child within 45 days of starting date and maintain ongoing observation and assessment procedures throughout enrollment.

Design and provide daily classroom activities tailored to meet individual needs and interests of the children.

Schedule and conduct 4 family visits per year, prioritizing convenience and flexibility for the family, aiming for 2 home visits and 2 center visits annually.



Requirements

The candidate must have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field with a minimum of 6 courses in ECE/Child Development (one of which must be Child Growth and Development)
