If you enjoy preparing quality meals, take pride in your work, and want to make a difference in the lives of seniors every day, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoAs a Cook, you will help create nutritious, appealing meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.Responsibilities include:Preparing and cooking meals according to established menus and recipesEnsuring food is cooked and served at appropriate temperaturesPreparing, plating, and serving meals, snacks, and beveragesMaintaining food quality, presentation, and portion controlProperly storing food and supplies to ensure freshness and safetyAssisting with kitchen cleaning and sanitationWashing dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment as neededSupporting special events and community gatheringsFollowing all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirementsCreating a welcoming dining experience for residentsWhat We're Looking ForSuccessful candidates will have:A passion for cooking and providing excellent customer serviceOne year of experience in culinary servicesHigh School Diploma or GEDAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (bilingual is a plus)Food service experience preferred (healthcare or senior living experience is a plus)Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to cleanliness, safety, and qualityRequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDAbility to obtain or maintain a Food Handler Certification (we can help!)Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain (we can help!)Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card Current TB testAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screeningPreferred ExperienceSenior living, assisted living, healthcare, and/or hospitality experienceThe above statement reflects the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the job.We are an Affirmative Action Equal Opportunity Employer for all individuals.
