Childcare Transportation Driver

Daily transportation of children to and from school, Monday through Friday, is a key responsibility of this position.

Van drivers at daycare centers are essential team members who transport children, staff, and equipment as needed, ensuring safe and timely arrivals. They maintain open communication with parents regarding children's needs, keep accurate records, and perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks. Attendance at staff meetings and collaboration with directors are also expected.

• Applicants must hold a valid driver's license; some positions require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), especially for larger vehicles or buses.
• An excellent driving record and clean criminal background check are typically necessary.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is usually required, and some employers prefer childcare experience or related qualifications.
• Drivers must be comfortable working with children, including supervising them during transport.
• Many daycare jobs require CPR and First Aid certification to respond to medical emergencies safely.
