Join our community hospital emergency department in beautiful Southwest Florida as an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Position Responsibilities- Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, examinations, and diagnostics
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs and imaging studies
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with emergency medicine physicians
- Perform emergency procedures within scope of practice and hospital protocols
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently using Meditech EMR system
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental protocols
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital-based Emergency Medicine experience (required for credentialing)
- Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain licensure
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification preferred
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with electronic medical records systems, Meditech EMR preferred
- Competitive annual salary range: $150,000 - $165,000
- 1099 independent contractor position
- Weekday coverage only - no weekends
