Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist
Job Description
Position Summary:
As a Licensed Therapist, you will work closely with individuals dealing with mental health issues and substance use disorders. You will employ evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities to provide comprehensive support, helping clients navigate their recovery journeys, particularly in cases of dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients with mental health and addiction issues.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing various modalities tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Facilitate psychoeducation and support groups for clients and their families.
• Monitor and evaluate client progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
• Stay current with best practices in the field of mental health and addiction treatment.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
• Active and valid state license as a therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMHC, etc.).
• A minimum of two years of experience providing therapy, specifically in mental health and addiction settings.
• Training in modalities related to mental health and drug abuse (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing).
• Experience dealing with co-occurring disorders and dual diagnosis is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for clients.
