Dena'ina Language CoachDepartment: Culture and LanguageProgram: Dena'ina Language InstituteReports to: Dena'ina Language Institute ManagerEmployment Status: Full-Time FLSA Status: ExemptSchedule: 40 Hours/52 Weeks Preference: TERO Ordinance 2017-01, P.L. 93-638Job SummaryThe Dena'ina Language Coach shall collaborate with the Dena'ina Language Institute and Dena'ina Culture Center team to coordinate and co-instruct language and culture classes. The Dena'ina Language Coach shall coordinate and teach the Dena'ina Language and Culture classes taught within Tribal Programs and community partners including but not limited to the Tułen Charter School.Essential FunctionsCollaborate with Dena'ina Language Institute and Culture Center Managers to align language work with Kenaitze Indian Tribe's mission and visionCollect, analyze and interpret language instructor data to monitor successLead Dena'ina language work as a learner, teacher, and innovatorMonitor language instruction program implementationEnsure Dena'ina Cultural overlay on all language instructor curriculumLearn then train language instructor staff in Dena'ina Language for All strategies, methods, techniques and approachesFacilitate and align Blended Learning approach, Dena'ina Language curriculum, and resourcesSupport language and instructional development of staff and learnersCreate and refine instructor materials, rubrics, and processes to ensure program reproducibility of Language Instructor ProgramEnsures compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, Tribal policies and TERO ordinanceIt is the intent of this job description to highlight the essential functions of the position; however, it is not an all-inclusive list.
