A well-prepared meal can be one of the best parts of their day.What You'll DoAs a Dietary Cook, you'll prepare and serve quality, appetizing meals and snacks for our residents while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing meals according to established menus and recipesPreparing resident meal trays, substitutions, snacks, and special nourishmentsHelping ensure meals are prepared accurately and served on timeFollowing resident tray cards and dietary instructionsMonitoring and recording food and equipment temperaturesProperly labeling, dating, storing, and rotating food and suppliesMaintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and work areaHelping keep meal service organized and running smoothlyWorking alongside Dietary Aides, Dishwashers, and the Dietary ManagerFollowing food safety, sanitation, and facility standardsHelping create a positive dining experience for our residentsWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and takes pride in the food they prepare.Cooking experience is required. Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred, but not required.A high school diploma is preferred.Most importantly, we're looking for someone who understands that preparing meals for our residents isn't just another kitchen job.
