What You'll Do:
  • Deliver direct, individualized nursing care to PCU/telemetry patients using evidence-based, scientific nursing principles
  • Connect patients to cardiac monitoring equipment and accurately read, interpret, and respond to electrocardiogram (ECG) and heart rate data
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans aligned with desired patient outcomes
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families, serving as a trusted advocate throughout the care continuum
  • Maintain full compliance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and all applicable regulatory, policy, and accreditation standards
  • Participate actively in committee work, quality improvement initiatives, and survey readiness activities
  • Handle sensitive and confidential patient information with the highest degree of professionalism and discretion
  • Maintain a professional presence and demeanor at all times, serving as a standard-bearer for nursing excellence on the unit

What You'll Bring:

Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing).
Licensure & Certifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (or compact eligibility).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification required prior to completion of orientation.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to completion of orientation.
Experience:
  • New graduates are welcome — this organization supports nurses at every stage of their career.
Skills & Attributes:
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills (or eagerness to develop them).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication with patients, families, and care team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.

Compensation & Benefits Highlights:
  • Hourly Rate: $30.51 – $55.03 (commensurate with experience).
