About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual who can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. As a key member of our teaching team, the Teacher will be responsible for developing a cohesive curriculum, coordinating classroom activities, and managing day-to-day operational tasks. To ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment, Teachers must have a deep understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Effective communication with children and adults is crucial for meeting individual needs, guiding teacher assistants, and resolving parental concerns.



What You'll Do

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities based on early learning standards to promote children's social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative team environment by modeling and coaching teaching staff.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Coordinate classroom logistics, including planning, organizing, and supervising activities.
  • Accurately record and maintain all necessary forms, files, and records.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices.


Requirements

  • Must clear a full background check and pass a health screening.
  • Hold a minimum of 20 credits in ECE from an Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or a related field of study.
  • Ability to frequently walk, use hands, fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at various levels.
  • Hold Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, and high energy with ability to work well with others.
  • A strong understanding of child development and excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must be able to perform the following physical tasks: kneel, bend, squat, or crawl.
  • Ability to see up close, at a certain distance, see colors, have peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
