Experienced Trim Carpenter - Residential

Agape Construction Company (Kirkwood, MO) has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a LEAD TRIM CARPENTER experienced in finish work of RESIDENTIAL additions and remodels. Job Summary: Reporting to the Project Manager, the Lead Trim Carpenter is responsible for the finishing portion of the project by ensuring the project is on schedule, on budget, and done with the highest level of craftsmanship while maintaining a good relationship with the client. Responsibilities:Perform, coordinate and oversee trim carpentry work at the highest level, including but not limited to:Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, change orders and other carpentry related documents and do take-offs and layouts Installation of doors and windows Set cabinets and countertops Installation of appliances Installation of interior trim: base, casing, crown, etc.Install stair parts, handrails, routered strings, trimBuild custom millwork; bookshelves, multiple piece moldings, mantle surrounds, box beams, wainscot, etc.Install deck, porch and other exterior trimUse a laser or transit level to establish grades and elevationsDo simple repairs in painting, staining, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, flooring, drywall and tapin Position Requirements: Minimum of five years of experience in both rough and finish carpentryIn depth knowledge of blueprint reading and structural framing codes Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical codesBe physically fit and able to perform demanding work on a consistent basis, including but not limited to:Have good communication skills and a positive attitude, be a team playerBe punctual and report to work daily on a consistent basisHave a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license and a clean background checkSalary: $32 - $40 per hour based on experienceBenefits:Steady 40 hours per weekExcellent Health, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability insurancePaid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays including a paid week off between Christmas and New YearsSimple IRA with company matchMileage and phone reimbursementWeekends off - great work / life balanceAgape Construction is a family owned, well-established St. Louis Design and Build Company based in Kirkwood with an A+ rating from the BBB.
