Skip Tracer
Job Summary
The Skip Tracer is responsible for locating and verifying current contact information for individuals who are difficult to reach. This position uses databases, public records, online resources, and other approved tools to research and update account information.
Essential Duties
- Research and locate updated addresses, phone numbers, employment information, and other contact information.
- Review and verify information from multiple sources.
- Document all research and skip-tracing activity.
- Assist collectors and attorneys in locating individuals when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Strong research and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with computers and multiple databases.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple accounts.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous collections, skip tracing, legal, or investigative experience is preferred but not required.
