We're looking for a motivated, customer-focused Estimator / Project Manager who enjoys building relationships, winning work, and seeing projects through to successful completion. This is a dynamic role that combines business development, estimating, and project management, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a direct impact on company growth.

What You'll Do

Business Development

• Develop new business opportunities by calling on property managers, commercial property owners, facility managers, HOAs, general contractors, and other decision-makers.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through assigned leads, referrals, networking, and self-generated prospecting.
• Conduct site visits to identify customer needs and recommend paving and pavement maintenance solutions.
• Build lasting client relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
• Represent Caliber Paving professionally at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions.

Estimating

• Visit project sites to evaluate existing conditions.
• Read construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Prepare competitive proposals, bid packages, and customer presentations.
• Follow up on proposals and negotiate projects through award.

Project Management

• Manage projects from contract award through final completion.
• Coordinate schedules with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers throughout each project.
• Resolve project issues quickly while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Support field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, project management, construction sales, asphalt paving, pavement maintenance, or a related industry.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel throughout our service territory.

Preferred

• Experience in asphalt paving, concrete, sealcoating, striping, or pavement maintenance.
• Experience with estimating software.
• Experience coordinating construction operations or field crews.
• Existing relationships within the commercial property management or construction industry.
