Position Overview:
The Production Associate supports daily cabinet assembly operations by completing multiple hands-on tasks throughout the build and packaging process. This position requires following work instructions, checking work for quality and accuracy, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and rotating between stations to support production flow and reduce repetitive motion.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties may shift daily based on production needs.
- Hinge Installation: Operate hinging equipment and attach hinges to cabinet doors accurately and efficiently.
- Trim & Component Installation: Measure cabinet parts, confirm details against order paperwork, and install shelves, roll tray tracks, and inner cabinet components.
- Door & Drawer Assembly: Install drawer and roll tray tracks, hang cabinet doors, and assemble/install drawers using hand and power tools.
- Boxing & Packaging: Fold and prepare cardboard packaging, place completed cabinets into boxes, and ensure the product is secure and ready for shipment.
Tools & Equipment Used:
- Hinging machine
- Drill gun / screw gun
- Staple gun
- Utility knife
- Tape measure
- Table saw
Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to read and follow order forms, measurements, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and product quality
- Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers
- Dependable, team-focused, and willing to rotate between tasks
- Ability to know how to use/read a tape measure
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending, reaching, and positioning to install components
- Ability to lift and move cabinet parts and materials as needed
- Work is performed in a non-air-conditioned environment
- Summer conditions may exceed 80°ree;F with high humidity
