About This Role

The ideal candidate will be a team player who can effectively communicate with children, adults, and parents, ensuring a stimulating and safe learning environment. They will coordinate the curriculum, manage daily classroom activities, and foster a culture of excellence. This dynamic educator must possess strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills to motivate and guide their team.



What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement engaging educational programs tailored to the unique needs of each child, incorporating principles of developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
  • Empower teaching teams to succeed by serving as a role model, providing coaching and guidance, and promoting a positive team dynamic.
  • Design and deliver interactive age-appropriate activities to encourage social, emotional, and cognitive growth in children.
  • Maintain open and regular communication with parents through various channels, including progress reports, parent-teacher conferences, and informal discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations at all times.
  • Establish and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment, adhering to rigorous standards for hygiene, cleanliness, and child safety.
  • Supervise and support teacher assistants and volunteers in their roles, ensuring they adhere to planned activities, safety protocols, and hygiene standards.
  • Accurately maintain records, forms, and files, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development, creating and implementing a personal plan to enhance quality and drive continuous improvement.


Requirements

  • Must pass health screening.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • Must clear full background check.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
  • Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.


Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
