Childcare Lead Teacher

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Lead Teacher to join our team!

The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

This role includes planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, supervising children, leading assistant classroom staff, and communicating effectively with families.

• Plan and implement daily lessons and activities that support child development.
• Create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care.
• Lead and support assistant teachers and other classroom staff.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and learning materials.
• Observe and document children’s growth, development, and milestones.
• Communicate effectively with families regarding children’s progress and daily activities.
• Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and center policies.
• Manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior using positive guidance techniques.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and other staff.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Willingness and ability to obtain required trainings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, sit on the floor, stand, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
• Ability to participate in indoor and outdoor activities in various weather conditions.
• Available full time Monday through Friday between the hours of 5:45am to 6:30pm
