Preschool Teacher

The Teacher is accountable for building a cohesive teaching team, overseeing curriculum development, and managing the daily operations of the classroom. To create a safe and engaging learning environment, Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Effective communication with children and adults is essential for meeting children's needs, guiding teacher assistants, and addressing parental concerns.

• Develop and implement educational curriculum by creating age-appropriate activities that align with early learning standards.
• Foster a collaborative teaching team by modeling and coaching best practices.
• Design and lead individual and group activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children.
• Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
• Establish a healthy classroom environment by maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Accurately record and maintain center forms and files.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and quality of care.

• High energy.
• Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
• Must clear full background check prior to start date.
• Must be at least 18 yrs. old.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Other movements required from time to time, but are not limited to: stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
• Must be able to stand or sit at times, for an extended amount of time or walk for long distances.
• Must be able to lift persons or objects up to 50lbs.

F/A CPR / Medication Certified

Knowledge of Emergent curriculum
