Job Description
A 198-bed, Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department on a mid shift schedule. The facility serves the Four Corners region and operates a 48-bed Emergency Department with flex space, supporting a diverse patient population that includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric presentations.
The role. Working within a team nursing and pod system model, the ED RN delivers care across a patient population presenting with conditions including trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain. The unit maintains a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in the main ED and a 6:1 ratio in Fast Track. A social worker is assigned to the department and a unit educator is on staff to support clinical development. The department utilizes Zoll Defibrillators, Level One Blood Transfusers, QinFlow Blood Warmers, Hospira Plum360 infusion pumps, Freestyle and iSTAT point-of-care devices, and ultrasound-guided IV, with documentation in Cerner.
What we're looking for.
- Required Education: RN ADN
- At least 2 years of acute care experience in the Emergency Department
- Must Have Skills/Experience: Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation
- BLS required upon submission. All other required certifications can be obtained after hire; please refer to Life Support Certification document in attachments.
- Open to candidates who do not hold New Mexico or Compact licensure. Candidates must obtain prior to start.
Schedule. Mid shift, working a combination of 10am–10pm and 12pm–12am, 12-hour shifts.
Compensation. $29.05 - $46.48/hr plus $2 sign-on bonus
