Work Model: 100% Onsite

Positional Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee large, cross-functional projects across the organization. The position sits within Engineering and is focused on driving complex business, engineering, and manufacturing initiatives from planning through successful completion.
Current and anticipated projects include product-line and equipment transfers and the setup of products or operations at other company locations, including Arizona and the Philippines. The Project Manager coordinates internal resources, vendors, equipment needs, timelines, budgets, risks, and project deliverables to keep initiatives on track.
This is an influence-based leadership role with no direct reports. The successful candidate will be organized, assertive, comfortable driving accountability across functions, and able to keep multiple moving pieces progressing toward deadlines.
Role & Responsibility:
Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success
  • Develop project plans, objectives, schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Lead projects from inception through completion while coordinating cross-functional internal teams and third-party vendors or contractors.
  • Manage product-line, equipment, and operational transfer initiatives involving domestic and international company locations.
  • Coordinate vendor and manufacturer activity, including obtaining quotes and ensuring required equipment, resources, and deliverables are available.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule, scope, resource, and budget issues.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify potential roadblocks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Prepare project status reports and communicate progress, risks, and decisions to senior management.
  • Ensure project work aligns with company policies, quality expectations, and business objectives.
  • Evaluate completed projects and incorporate lessons learned into future project planning.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably within manufacturing, engineering, technology, or another complex operational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from inception through completion.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving accountability without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong organizational, communication, time-management, risk-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage vendors, resources, timelines, budgets, and competing project priorities.
  • Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or comparable tools.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or similar approaches.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent applicable experience.
  • Ability to meet U.S. export control requirements (ITAR/EAR) for access to technical data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering degree or experience working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Experience with product-line transfers, manufacturing transfers, equipment installations, capital projects, or operational start-ups.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience coordinating projects across multiple company locations or international teams.
Team & Environment
  • Position sits within the Engineering organization and works across engineering, manufacturing, operations, vendors, and senior leadership.
  • No direct reports; success depends on cross-functional leadership, influence, follow-through, and accountability.
  • Primarily onsite in Buffalo, with remote collaboration across other company locations.
  • Minimal travel expected, with occasional travel possible based on project requirements.
  • This position is based within the Engineering organization. Travel is expected to be minimal, although occasional travel to other company locations, including Arizona or the Philippines, may be possible depending on project needs.
