Reports To: Paint Line Supervisor

Position Summary

Palmer Hamilton is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Powder Coat Painter to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality paint coverage of metal components within our production line. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, team-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full and even powder coat coverage of all materials entering the spray booth.
  • Perform timely and efficient paint color changes to support production flow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint booth and surrounding work areas in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Assist conveyor line loaders as needed to maintain line continuity.
  • Inspect raw materials for defects and report any issues to the supervisor before parts progress to the next production stage.
  • Monitor and communicate paint inventory levels to avoid production delays due to supply shortages.
  • Identify parts accurately and understand which components complete each model or assembly.
  • Read and interpret inventory move tickets to ensure proper part handling and placement.
  • Accurately count and verify parts being loaded onto the conveyor, ensuring alignment with move ticket quantities.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions for properly hanging materials on the conveyor to ensure quality finishes and safe operations.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in powder coating or industrial painting preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic understanding of inventory systems and ability to read work orders or move tickets.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to participate in cross-functional tasks and contribute to team goals.
