About the RoleLake Assault Boats is looking for a Temporary Administrative & Materials Coordinator to support our Virginia team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly.This position is expected to last at least 12 weeks, with the potential to extend depending on business needs. While temporary, this role is highly impactful and fully integrated into our day-to-day operations.Important Travel RequirementThe selected candidate will be required to travel to Superior, Wisconsin for one week of onboarding and training. This hands-on training will provide exposure to company systems, processes, and key team members to ensure success in the role.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to ensure efficient office operationsAnswer phones, coordinate schedules, and support visitors as neededPerform general administrative duties (filing, scanning, document preparation, etc.)Manage purchasing activities including RFQs, purchase orders, and vendor communicationTrack shipments, resolve backorders, and coordinate receiving and invoicing correctionsWork closely with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate PO processing and documentationMaintain and update inventory and materials data within systemsPrepare and process invoices, including government contract billing and sales order closeoutsTrack credit card purchases and reconcile receipts with AccountingCoordinate shipping of parts to domestic and international customersProvide support for safety initiatives, including reporting and auditsAssist with warranty-related customer needs and service coordinationSupport HR-related inquiries at the local level as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior experience in an administrative, purchasing, or coordination role preferredStrong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Experience with ERP systems (Viewpoint or similar) is a plusAdditional RequirementsAbility to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug/alcohol screeningAbility to work in a manufacturing environment, including moderate physical activity (walking, stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs)Why Join Lake Assault Boats?This is an opportunity to step into a hands-on, impactful role supporting mission-critical operations.
