This Opportunity:
We have immediate full-time career opportunities for an Operations Manager in our Houston, TX office. Certerra offers the ability to gain valuable career experience and career building goals.
Duties include, but not limited to, the following:
Conduct field inspection / monitoring programs. Advise on geological suitability of sites for construction. Study the nature of ground and surface waters, soils, bedrock and environmental effects for land use and planning. Includes mapping, field and laboratory testing and analysis.
Experience in managing staff to assure projects are being completed timely.
Experience in construction materials testing
Collect and oversee soil and rock sampling
Assist in analysis of soil to determine engineering characteristics
Inspect development sites
Review engineering plans
Assist in writing technical reports
Minimum qualifications for the position:
The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering, with EIT Certification. Preference will be given to those with a P.E. license. 3 to 5 years’ experience.
Salaries dependent on background experience and certifications.
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
