Introduction:
At Englewood Health & Rehabilitation, we are dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care to our residents. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dietary Manager/CDM to join our team and oversee the dietary services within our facility. The Dietary Manager/CDM will play a crucial role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious, well-balanced meals that cater to their individual needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:

Dietary Planning and Management:
Develop, implement, and oversee nutritional programs and meal plans in accordance with resident needs, dietary restrictions, and healthcare provider recommendations.
Ensure that all meals meet the dietary requirements and preferences of the residents, including special diets and therapeutic diets.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as industry standards, regarding food safety, sanitation, and dietary practices.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of food service operations to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Team Leadership and Supervision:
Supervise and train dietary staff, including cooks, dietary aides, and other food service personnel.
Schedule and coordinate staffing to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts.

Resident Interaction and Satisfaction:
Engage with residents to gather feedback and address any dietary concerns or preferences.
Ensure that resident satisfaction with meals is consistently high by providing exceptional customer service and addressing any issues promptly.

Budgeting and Inventory Management:
Manage the dietary department budget, including food purchasing, inventory control, and cost management.
Oversee the ordering and procurement of food supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records related to dietary services, including meal plans, resident dietary needs, and compliance documentation.
Prepare and submit reports as required by management and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification highly preferred
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and nutrition principles.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in using dietary management software and other relevant technology.
