Location: Cleveland East and surrounding areas
U.S. Lawns Cleveland East is seeking reliable, hardworking Snow Shovelers and Sidewalk Crew Members for our snow and ice management team. This position is responsible for keeping sidewalks, entrances, steps, ramps, and other pedestrian areas safe and accessible during winter weather events.
Candidates with professional landscaping experience may also be considered for continued employment during the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
Qualifications
This is a physically demanding position. Snow events can require hours of repeated shoveling, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and walking on slippery surfaces. Snow may be wet, heavy, frozen, or compacted.

Qualifications
- Previous commercial snow-removal or sidewalk-clearing experience is preferred.
- Experience using snow blowers, power brooms, hand spreaders, and other snow-removal equipment is a plus.
- Must be dependable, accountable, safety-focused, and ready to work when called.
- Must be drug-free and able to pass a drug screening if required.
- Must report to work free from alcohol, drugs, or any substance that could affect safe job performance.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from our shop or assigned meeting location.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is a plus and may be required if operating a company vehicle.
- Must have a reliable smartphone with active service.
- Must be comfortable using a mobile app to receive assignments and check in and out at each service location.
- Ability to upload service notes and before-and-after photos through the app when required.
- Must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends and major holidays, whenever snow or ice conditions require service.
- Must be willing to work days, nights, early mornings, long shifts, and changing schedules.
- Landscaping, lawn maintenance, flowerbed enhancement, or crew leader experience is a plus.
- Must follow instructions, property maps, safety procedures, and supervisor directions.
- Shovel snow from sidewalks, entrances, steps, ramps, loading areas, and other assigned pedestrian areas.
- Operate snow blowers, power brooms, hand spreaders, and other approved snow-removal equipment.
- Apply salt or ice-melting material safely, evenly, and according to instructions.
- Break up and remove packed snow and ice when needed.
- Keep entrances, fire exits, handicap-accessible areas, and high-traffic walkways clear.
- Use the company’s mobile app to check in upon arrival and check out after completing each property.
- Accurately document completed services, site conditions, and materials used.
- Upload required before-and-after photos and service notes.
- Use the phone and mobile app only while safely stopped and away from operating equipment.
- Remain alert for slippery conditions, vehicles, pedestrians, and other jobsite hazards.
- Work closely with plow drivers, crew leaders, and other team members.
- Protect buildings, doors, concrete, landscaping, vehicles, and other property features from damage.
- Clean and properly store shovels, snow blowers, spreaders, and other equipment after each event.
- Report injuries, property damage, equipment problems, and unsafe conditions immediately.
