Accounting Manager

Mid-South Care Services is currently in search of an Accounting Manager to join its team.. Mid-South Senior Care is a non-medical in-home care company that provides community living supports, personal care, housekeeping, transportation and other non-medical services to seniors and other people with disabilities.Responsibilities/DutiesMonitor scheduling system daily for timekeeping/payroll/billing accuracyMonitor scheduling/claims system daily to ensure employees are clocking in and out accuratelyWork closely with scheduling team to ensure accuracy of timekeeping/payroll/billingTrain (and sometimes reprimand) employees who are not following company policies and procedures for timekeepingCollect weekly timesheetsVerify time reported in scheduling systemPrepare reports and Excel spreadsheets for submission to 3rd party payroll processing company on a bi-weekly basisReview new hire paperwork and submit to 3rd party payroll processing companyAnswer employee calls regarding payroll questions and concernsAnswer client calls regarding billing questions and concernsFile/submit insurance claims dailyCreate and send private pay and other long-term care insurance invoices on a weekly basisProcess insurance company remittancesManage accounts receivable to avoid write-offs, including working with clients on past due balancesProcess and monitor disputes for denied insurance claimsReview/verify new authorizations for servicesOther tasks as needed to support the organizationRequirements3+ years of payroll/billing experienceStrong communication skillsSelf starterStrong multi-tasking skillsProfessionalismStrong computer/technical skillsAttention to detailAbility to meet payroll/billing deadlines
