Great Beginnings Early Learning Center is now Infant Teachers, Toddler Teachers, and Teacher Assistants for Immediate Hire in Alexandria, VA!
We are a faith-based early childhood education center seeking reliable, nurturing, and energetic educators who are passionate about working with infants and toddlers (6 weeks - 2.5 years old).

What You'll Do
- Provide attentive care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and daily routines
- Plan and assist with age-appropriate activities (sensory play, music, reading, motor skill development)
- Implement lesson plans based on the A Beka Book Christian curriculum
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Monitor and support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
- Communicate daily with parents using the Brightwheel App and in-person updates
- Follow all Virginia Department of Education licensing standards and center policies
- Work collaboratively with lead teachers and support staff
- Maintain a positive, patient, and professional demeanor throughout the day
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of childcare experience (daycare, preschool, nanny, or similar) preferred
- Strong understanding of infant and toddler care and development
- Ability to work full-time in a fast-paced childcare setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Must pass background check and health screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Nice To Haves
- CDA, AA, or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience with Brightwheel or childcare management apps
- Experience with A Beka curriculum
- DHO or MAT Certification
Benefits
Starting pay is $18/hour for candidates with a CDA, AA, BA, or relevant coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Candidates without these qualifications are still encouraged to apply, but starting pay may vary based on experience and credentials.
