About the Role
Our client is seeking a Customer Operations Specialist to join their Supply Chain team on a temporary basis. This is a customer operations and order management role supporting B2B/corporate customers—not a traditional call-center customer service position.
The ideal candidate has experience managing customer orders, working with business customers, and navigating ERP or order management systems. This is a high-volume environment where accuracy, organization, and the ability to learn new systems quickly are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer orders from order entry through fulfillment and invoicing.
- Ensure orders are entered accurately and processed on time.
- Confirm products, pricing, shipping methods, and related order details.
- Coordinate with distribution centers and internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Manage tracking, proof of delivery, returns, and invoicing.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned B2B customer accounts.
- Provide professional, solution-oriented support to customers and internal partners.
- Monitor account status, customer KPIs, and order-related issues.
- Proactively identify potential order or fulfillment issues and help resolve them.
- Generate reports and maintain accurate customer and order information.
- Provide backup support for other team members as needed.
- Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Logistics, and other internal teams.
- Help identify opportunities to improve customer and supply chain processes.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of order management experience.
- Experience working directly with B2B or corporate customers.
- Experience with order entry, order management, or order fulfillment.
- ERP or order management system experience; M365 ERP experience is preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn new systems and technology quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to manage priorities with limited supervision.
- Strong customer service mindset and relationship-building skills.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will be someone who can move quickly without sacrificing accuracy. They should be comfortable managing a high volume of orders, communicating with business customers, navigating multiple systems, and picking up new technology with minimal ramp-up time.
