This confidential opportunity is ideal for a senior telecommunications engineer with deep VoIP, SIP, Session Border Controller, and E-911/PSAP integration experience who is ready to support mission-critical federal communications.

The role will focus on telecommunications engineering, gateway deployment, SIP interconnections, emergency call routing, troubleshooting, and deployment readiness within a highly technical defense environment.

An active Secret security clearance is required.

What You'll Do
  • Support deployment and integration of Ribbon Federal Edge gateways.
  • Engineer and troubleshoot SIP interconnections, signaling, and policy routing.
  • Analyze and resolve E-911 call-flow and routing issues.
  • Support connectivity across Federal Edge, DISA VISP, and Army PSAP environments.
  • Perform deployment validation, readiness assessments, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Identify engineering risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
  • Track technical issues and provide engineering recommendations through resolution.
  • Support gateway installation, configuration, deployment, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate technical requirements related to emergency-services routing and PSAP connectivity.
  • Partner with technical and program teams to ensure systems are ready for successful deployment.
What You'll Bring
  • 10+ years of telecommunications engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on VoIP and SIP engineering experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with Ribbon Communications, Sonus, or Genband technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Session Border Controllers.
  • Experience with SIP signaling, routing, and telecommunications interconnections.
  • Experience supporting E-911, NG911, or Public Safety Answering Point integrations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in Winchester, Virginia, Monday through Friday.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
What Sets You Apart
  • Familiarity with DISA VISP environments.
  • Army Voice Modernization experience.
  • PSAP interconnection experience.
  • NG911 or public-safety communications experience.
  • Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification.
  • Experience supporting federal or Department of Defense telecommunications programs.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across complex voice and network environments.

Additional Information

This is an on-site position in Winchester, Virginia, with a Monday through Friday schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

An active Secret security clearance is required for consideration.
