ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a hands-on bench role. Most of your time will be spent performing jewelry repairs, custom fabrication, stone setting, and other fine bench work. You'll also collaborate with our team to ensure every piece meets our high standards of craftsmanship and quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform expert-level repairs: sizing, prong re-tipping, shank replacement, solder work, and stone-setting across platinum, gold, and mixed-metal pieces
• Execute custom fabrication and CAD-to-bench work for bespoke bridal and fine jewelry commissions
• Perform quality control and final inspection on all repair and custom work prior to client delivery
• Maintain and calibrate bench equipment; manage inventory of findings, metals, and gemstones
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 5–10 years of professional bench jewelry experience; formal training (GIA, bench certification, or equivalent apprenticeship) strongly preferred
• Demonstrated mastery of stone-setting techniques (prong, bezel, pavé, channel) and metalsmithing across gold and platinum
• Experience with CAD/CAM workflows and casting oversight a plus
• Polished, professional presence suitable for a luxury retail environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate client vision into technical specifications
