Job Summary
Lowe’s Guardian Angel is seeking an experienced and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical oversight and nursing support for approximately 12 individuals receiving services.
This is a flexible, part-time position averaging approximately 25 hours per month and includes a combination of in-person assessments and virtual/remote chart reviews.
The RN will be responsible for completing required nursing assessments, reviewing clinical documentation and Medication Administration Records (MARs), identifying potential health or compliance concerns, and supporting the organization in maintaining high standards of clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct RN Oversight (RNOS) assessments for approximately 12 individuals.
- Complete scheduled in-person nursing assessments and physical health evaluations.
- Perform virtual/remote clinical chart reviews.
- Review Medication Administration Records (MARs) for accuracy, completeness, and potential concerns.
- Review client medical records, physician orders, nursing documentation, and other clinical information.
- Monitor vital signs and assess changes in individuals’ health status when appropriate.
- Identify and communicate clinical concerns, medication discrepancies, documentation deficiencies, or changes requiring follow-up.
- Provide nursing guidance and clinical support to direct-care and administrative staff as needed.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential nursing documentation.
- Assist with maintaining clinical compliance with applicable Georgia DBHDD and DCH requirements.
- Collaborate with management and direct-support teams to promote continuity and quality of care.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous nursing experience in home health, community-based services, behavioral health, intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD), long-term care, or a related setting preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records and documentation systems, including Therap or similar EMR/EHR platforms.
- Strong clinical assessment, chart review, and medication review skills.
- Excellent documentation, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Reliable transportation for required in-person assessments.
Preferred Experience
- Working knowledge of Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) and/or Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) regulations.
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and/or behavioral health needs.
- Experience conducting nursing oversight assessments, clinical chart audits, and MAR reviews.
- Experience supporting regulatory compliance within home and community-based service programs.
Compensation: $45–$48 per hour
Expected Hours: Approximately 25 hours per month
Schedule: Flexible combination of in-person and virtual responsibilities
