Staff Accountant III
Job Description
This position will be an integral part of our accounting team, responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Building upon your previous experience and expertise, contribute to financial reporting, analysis, and compliance efforts, supporting the overall financial health of the company.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs daily accounting transactions, including invoicing, deposits, and updating the bank registry
Handles accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including processing bills, payments, invoices, and customer collections
Maintains accurate debit and credit transactions and demonstrates a solid understanding of accounting principles
Manages accounting activities and financial records across multiple companies
Develops and follows accounting procedures to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
Keeps accounting records and transactions accurate and up to date
Meets tight deadlines and effectively manages multiple priorities in a face-paced, fast-growing company
Works independently, takes ownership of responsibilities, and performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of experience in accounting or AEC industry
Associate degree or equivalent experience required
Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Experience with multiple entity financial records
Deltek Vantagepoint experience a plus
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is a plus, along with knowledge of pivot tables, data organization and transfer tools, and conditional formulas
Must be willing to learn and utilize AI tools as the company introduces automated tools
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
