Sugah Cain Farm, home to the horses of Old South Carriage Company, is looking for a dependable and hardworking Farm Maintenance Technician to help maintain our 110-acre horse farm on Johns Island.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, fixing things, and taking pride in keeping a property looking and functioning its best.

Responsibilities
  • Mowing fields, pastures, and landscaped areas
  • Operating tractors, zero-turn mowers, and other farm equipment
  • Maintaining and performing basic repairs on equipment and tools
  • Repairing and maintaining fencing, gates, barns, and other farm structures
  • Trimming, pressure washing, painting, cleanup, and general property maintenance
  • Assisting with improvement projects around the farm
  • Identifying maintenance needs and proactively addressing problems
  • Helping keep the farm clean, organized, safe, and well maintained
Schedule & Compensation

This position can offer flexible full-time work

Requirements

    • Previous experience with lawn, landscaping, farm, or equipment operation preferred
    • Comfortable operating tractors, mowers, and power tools
    • Basic mechanical and repair skills
    • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
    • Able to perform physical work and lift 50+ lbs.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently
    • Dependable with reliable transportation
    • Takes pride in their work and pays attention to detail
