Job Description
The Account Executive – Education is responsible for generating revenue growth across K-12, higher education and institutional learning environments through consultative selling, relationship development and strategic account management. This role focuses on understanding the evolving needs of students, educators, administrators and campus facilities teams and aligning them with furniture, architectural, flooring and workplace solutions. The Account Executive drives new business and expansion within existing education accounts while partnering closely with sales leadership, design, project management, installation and other cross-functional teams to deliver seamless solutions from concept to completion. The position plays a key role in strengthening the business’s presence across education markets, creating long-term client relationships and delivering thoughtfully designed environments that enhance productivity, engagement, connection and the overall learning experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Education, Business, Marketing, Public Administration, Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
- Equivalent district, university or institutional sales success may substitute.
- Training in school procurement, public bids, capital projects or cooperative purchasing preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively across diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to prospect, develop and close new business opportunities.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
- Ability to build relationships with senior-level decision makers.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- High level of professionalism, accountability and drive.
- Valid Driver License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background check is required.
- Manages full sales cycles from prospecting and lead generation through closing, installation, and post-installation follow-up.
- Prospects for and develops new business opportunities across K-12, higher education, and institutional education markets.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, consultants, and other key decision-makers.
- Analyzes territory and account performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement and provides updates to leadership as needed.
- Assesses client needs, budgets, timelines, and project requirements to recommend appropriate furniture and workplace solutions.
- Uses consultative selling strategies to influence product specifications, service selection, and project outcomes.
- Develops and executes strategic business plans to grow market share, expand existing accounts, and achieve revenue targets.
- Maintains accurate sales pipelines, account activity records, forecasts, and performance reports within CRM and other sales tools.
- Improves account planning, bid visibility, and forecasting by monitoring education funding cycles, purchasing processes, and upcoming opportunities.
- Ensures sales activities comply with company policies, contractual agreements, pricing requirements, and approval guidelines.
- Follows district, university, public bid, and cooperative purchasing requirements throughout sales processes.
- Prepares accurate quotes, sales orders, proposals, and required documentation in coordination with internal teams.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for clients throughout sales processes and ensures timely, professional communication.
- Collaborates with design, project management, installation, and support teams to deliver successful projects from concept through completion.
- Presents product knowledge, design concepts, and workplace solutions effectively while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Participates in networking and industry events, monitors territory and account performance, and adjusts sales strategies to achieve or exceed quarterly and annual goals.
- Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
