Job Description
The Great Library Co. is seeking a Lab Chemist to support laboratory testing and analysis work through this approximately 6-month engagement.
Position SummaryThis contract engagement calls for an independent Lab Chemist to perform chemical and laboratory analyses that support quality, research, or production needs. You will conduct experiments, interpret results, and document findings in a clear, audit-ready manner throughout an approximately 6-month engagement.
Working onsite in Jarbidge, NV, you will help ensure laboratory work is carried out safely, consistently, and in line with established procedures and required documentation standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct routine and non-routine lab testing, sample preparation, and analytical measurements according to established protocols.
Record observations and results accurately in laboratory documentation, ensuring traceability and completeness.
Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential root causes, and summarize conclusions for stakeholders.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of lab work areas, including proper handling, labeling, and storage of chemicals and samples.
Follow safety requirements and support safe laboratory operations through required practices and documentation.
Hands-on experience performing laboratory testing and chemical analyses in a controlled lab environment.
Strong knowledge of laboratory safety practices and safe handling of chemical materials.
Ability to accurately document procedures, results, and observations with attention to detail.
Proficiency in interpreting analytical results and communicating findings clearly.
Demonstrated ability to follow established methods and work effectively onsite in a laboratory setting.
Experience supporting quality-focused laboratory activities, including investigations of out-of-spec results or discrepancies.
Familiarity with maintaining laboratory instruments and basic troubleshooting practices.
Experience working with structured documentation processes and controlled protocols.
Background in chemistry or a related science field, with practical laboratory application.
Weekly rate: $2,000
Contract term: 6 months.
