JOB ROLE: The Administrative Assistant / IT supports the daily technology operations of the Central Office IT Department. This position provides technical support, manages assigned software platforms, assists with user accounts, devices, inventory, and technology projects, and supports campus IT personnel as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in IT support, technical operations, or a related role preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of Windows, ChromeOS, Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, Wi-Fi, printers, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, troubleshoot independently, and manage multiple requests efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support by phone, email, remote support, or in person.
  • Troubleshoot computers, Chromebooks, printers, software, Wi-Fi, network connectivity, and other technology-related issues.
  • Set up, configure, deploy, maintain, collect, and replace computers, monitors, printers, Chromebooks, and other IT equipment.
  • Create, update, suspend, archive, and manage user accounts, groups, permissions, passwords, and access according to established procedures.
  • Install, configure, update, administer, and manage assigned software applications and technology platforms, including user access, licensing, configurations, and vendor support.
  • Assist with Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365, device management, and other systems assigned by the Central Office IT Department.
  • Document, monitor, and follow up on support requests and resolutions in the IT help desk system.
  • Maintain accurate technology inventory, asset, warranty, licensing, and system documentation.
  • Support campus IT personnel and assist with district-wide technology projects, deployments, testing readiness, cybersecurity initiatives, and system upgrades.
  • Escalate complex technical, network, cybersecurity, or system issues to the Central Office IT Department.
  • Follow IT security policies and procedures.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service to all users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Light work; may require occasional lifting and moving of technology equipment.
  • Nights and weekend activities may occasionally be required.
  • Position is based in a Central Office setting and may involve prolonged desk work, walking, and standing.
  • Moderate travel between district locations is required.
