Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Royal Community Supports is looking for a self-motivated, energetic person to support a man who resides in his own apartment in Oldwick, NJ on Saturday and Sundays.

Retired individual seeking Direct Support Profesional/DSP assistance with errands and light housekeeping tasks. Looking for a Direct Support Profesional/DSP who likes to shop locally, run errands, and sometimes go out for lunch but who also is happy to stay inside and spend time talking and watching shows together. The ideal Direct Support Profesional/DSP is someone who has experience, willing to do the DDD trainings, and is looking for a daytime P/T opportunity - must be willing to be in a home with dogs (individual seeking support has two small dogs). $26/hr

Schedule of Services:

M, W, F - 10:30am-3:30pm

Qualifications:

• Must be able to recognize that disability is a label and not a description
• Must be person centered minded
• Staff need to be open minded and come with a positive attitude
• Staff must remember that you are working for a person and not a label
• Must be 18 years old or older
• Minimum of a Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to pass a drug screening
• Must be authorized to legally work in the United States

Starting Pay Rate:

$26 per hour
