A SNF is seeking a dedicated and experienced Wound Care Nurse (RN/LPN) to join our compassionate healthcare team. The Wound Care Nurse will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing wounds while providing high-quality patient care in accordance with best practices and facility policies.
Key Responsibilities:Assess, treat, and monitor wounds, pressure ulcers, and other skin conditions.
Develop and implement wound care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
Educate staff, patients, and families on wound prevention and care.
Administer appropriate treatments, dressings, and interventions.
Maintain accurate documentation of wound care procedures and progress.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and infection control guidelines.
Active RN or LPN license in North carolina or compact.
Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWON, CWOCN, or similar) preferred.
Experience in wound care, long-term care, or acute care preferred.
Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
