As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in fostering a supportive space where young women can heal and thrive. We're currently seeking compassionate individuals to join us as 2nd- and 3rd-Shift Residential Staff, committed to making a difference in the lives of these young girls.
In this role, you'll guide residents through their daily routines, ensuring they have the support they need to achieve their personal goals. During the 2nd shift, you'll engage with residents to help them complete daily tasks and activities in a trauma-informed manner. On the 3rd shift, you'll monitor their safety and well-being throughout the night, document sleep patterns, and assist with morning routines. We value dedication and a strong work ethic, and we're looking for someone who can commit to a full-time schedule, including weekends. $21 - $23 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Guide residents through their daily routines, ensuring they feel supported and empowered to achieve personal goals.
- Engage with residents during the 2nd shift to help them complete daily tasks and activities in a trauma-informed manner.
- Monitor the safety and well-being of residents throughout the night during the 3rd shift, ensuring a secure environment.
- Document sleep patterns and any notable events during the night to maintain accurate records.
- Assist residents with morning routines, providing encouragement and support as they start their day.
- Collaborate with team members to create a nurturing and supportive environment for all residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, offering guidance to foster trust and understanding.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Social Work or equivalent preferred.
Demonstrating a strong commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of Doors to Freedom is essential.
Complete 5-day onboarding training.
The candidate must complete 14 approved continuing education hours annually.
Maintaining VSP-HT certification annually is a crucial aspect of the role.
Holding certifications in CPR and First Aid, Crisis Prevention Intervention, and completing annual training in Medication Administration, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Suicide Screener Training is mandatory.
Strong leadership skills, the ability to build relationships, and the ability to maintain healthy boundaries.
Manage conflict resolution as needed.
Adhere to the organization's policies and procedures.
Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential qualities.
Ability to engage effectively with residents, fostering trust and open communication in a compassionate manner.
Proven track record of maintaining a safe and secure environment, especially during overnight shifts.
Strong documentation skills to accurately record sleep patterns and notable events, ensuring clear communication with team members.
Ability to assist residents with daily routines, providing encouragement and support to help them achieve personal goals.
Experience in collaborating with team members to create a nurturing and supportive environment for all residents.
Excellent communication skills to offer guidance and foster understanding with residents, enhancing their sense of security and trust.
