Portable Sanitation Vacuum Service Operator
Job Description
Picture your morning: it’s 7:00 AM in Hubbard, TX. You check your route on EquipmentShare’s T3 platform, see real-time work orders, and head out in a well-maintained vacuum truck. By 5:00 PM, you’ve kept job sites, events, and industrial projects running smoothly—clean, stocked, and ready for the next crew. That’s a day in the life here.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with overtime paid after 40 hours each week. Occasional on-call rotation applies, with extra compensation.
What You’ll Do- Operate a vacuum truck safely and in full compliance with state/federal transportation laws and company safety policies.
- Service portable restrooms and restroom trailers: pump tanks, refill fresh water, restock supplies, and clean units to high standards.
- Execute your scheduled route and jump on urgent service calls when needed.
- Inspect units for damage or maintenance needs and report issues promptly.
- Use company technology to complete accurate electronic work orders, service logs, and customer documentation.
- Represent EquipmentShare professionally and courteously at customer locations.
- Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and all required DOT documentation.
- Monitor fluid levels, perform routine preventive checks, and report mechanical concerns right away.
- Follow environmental, safety, and waste disposal regulations for transport and disposal of waste.
- Keep your truck and work area clean, organized, and professional.
- Pitch in on related tasks as assigned.

- Drivers may be required to be clean shaven to enter customer job sites requiring respiratory protection.
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or other license as required by state law for the vehicle being operated.
- Experience with vacuum trucks, septic/wastewater service, or similar equipment is preferred but not required.
- Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state Department of Transportation regulations.
- Must pass a DOT physical, as trucks operated exceed 10,000 pounds GVWR.
- Repeatedly climb on/off trucks throughout the day.
- Frequently lift, carry, pull, and move hoses and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Prolonged sitting while driving a commercial vehicle.
- Regular bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and standing for extended periods.
