Position – Manufacturing Team Lead
Job Location – Eau Claire, WI
Starting Date – Immediate
Employment Term – Long-Term, Temporary to Hire
Employment Type – Full-Time
Work Hours (Shift) – 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Starting Pay – $25.00-$28.00 per hour, based on experience
Required Education – High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience – 3-5+ years of manufacturing experience; previous Team Lead, Line Lead, Trainer, Supervisor, or similar leadership experience also required
Join a local manufacturing team where you can put your production knowledge and leadership skills to work. As a Team Lead, you will provide day-to-day direction and support to production employees while helping ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery expectations are met. You will work closely with the Production Supervisor to coordinate workflow, develop employees, resolve production issues, and keep the team moving toward daily goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily activities for assigned production employees
- Communicate production schedules, priorities, and expectations to the team
- Monitor workflow to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to established standards
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee production questions and concerns
- Promote and enforce safety procedures and safe work practices
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and established quality standards
- Help troubleshoot production, equipment, material, and workflow issues
- Escalate safety, quality, operational, or personnel concerns when necessary
- Train, coach, and support employees on processes, procedures, and standard work
- Monitor performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching
- Ensure production documentation and records are completed accurately
- Support inventory accuracy and proper material handling
- Participate in production meetings and communicate important information to employees
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with hands-on production work when needed to support the team
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- At least 3 years of manufacturing experience required; 3-5+ years strongly preferred
- Previous Team Lead, Line Lead, Trainer, Supervisor, or other manufacturing leadership experience preferred
- Strong employment stability and demonstrated progression within manufacturing environments preferred
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, automation, or engineered-to-order environments is a plus
- Experience with ERP, manufacturing, or production reporting systems preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to address conflict and workplace issues professionally
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing/production environment
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Regular bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be comfortable working hands-on alongside the production team as operational needs require
