Collections Specialist

We are searching for a Collections Specialist to collect on outstanding accounts receivable balances for an insurance company. This position is remote and pays $18 per hour. Although this role is remote, the person must reside in the Las Vegas area. The role is expected to last for roughly six months and has the potential of becoming a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound collections calls from policy cancellation or expiration through final audit.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements within established guidelines.
• Suggest plans and strategies for resolving disputes on final balances.
• Research outstanding balances and work with other departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Serve as backup when needed for collections.

Requirements

• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in collections or accounts receivable required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
