Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, customer-oriented Cashier to process all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing outstanding service and maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment for all customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers as they enter the store and provide excellent customer service.
  
  
• Operate cash registers, handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
  
  
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers as required.
  
  
• Maintain accurate cash drawer, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly.
  
  
• Answer customer inquiries and assist with locating products or services.
  
  
• Handle returns and exchanges in line with store policies.
  
  
• Keep checkout areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  
  
• Follow all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or discounts.
  
  
• Report any discrepancies or suspicious activity to the supervisor.
  
  
• Support other store functions as needed (e.g., stocking shelves, tidying displays).
  
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
  
• Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus.
  
  
• Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
  
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical aspects of the job.
  
  
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
  
  
• Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
